  1. Specially loved the pansy, the wild ducks on the creek and the sentinel- felt like painting that pic!

  2. Stunning photographs as usual Claudette. Love them all and if I had to choose a favourite then it would be ‘Sentinel’.

    1. I was one of those moments. There seems to be a lot of egrets around here at the moment. Quite often I have a dozen or so on the lawn or in the next door paddock.

      1. I’m guessing it is mist in the photo, rather than smoke from a bonfire?

        1. It was early morning smoke, condensed by the cooler air. The houses over the road had their heaters going.

          1. Of course. I keep forgetting that it’s winter in your part of the world.

  3. Wonderful images. I also love ‘Sentinel’ and ‘Pansy.’ But I love the platypus too, because it reminds me of searching for the elusive animal on my most recent visit.

    1. He was just floating in the pond, but of course when I got close enough to take a photo he/she made a beeline for her burrow in the bank.

  4. Wow, the egret one is wonderful, you captured that early morning smoky atmosphere perfectly. You are so lucky to have a platypus about, even if it won’t oblige you with a portrait. Lovely photos.

    1. It was early morning, and I took several sjots, but this was the best one because I could crop out the houses over the road. I do love it when I see the platypus, which can be quite often in the right season.
