Moments of the Month – February 2016

Eagle and Crow (1) inverted

I inverted this photo of an Eagle and a Crow, I love the change it makes to the birds, and the lavender grass.

Crescent Moon

The Glow, the Crescent, the Craters.  The Moon gives me a promise that there is more than what we know on Earth.

River Plant (2)

This is a hard colour to photograph with my camera, I have tried many times and ended up deleting the photo, so when this shot turned out I was really happy.  I like the way it occupies the space in the photo too.

Moon thru branches (2) bandicoot

The Framing, the Black & White, the minimal scenery.

lanterns

The veins and the bright colour.

Robins

I wish I had caught them when they faced me, but it was through the Kitchen window and the angle was wrong.  Still like the photo though – who doesn’t like Robin Red Breasts.

Daisy (2)

Joyous, childlike innocence – it just makes me happy to look at this photo.

The DEED will be done AGAIN

It’s that time of year again – Shave Time!

March 12th is the date this year when will be shaving head, right down to a No.1, for the Worlds Greatest Shave. Any money I raise will go to the Leukemia Foundation here in Australia, to help those suffering from cancer.

My daughter, my 80 year old Mother and I have again formed a team and hope to raise more than last years total of $3694 (all raised in 2 weeks).  For every  sponsor I get from Blogland I plan to donate another $10, so if you are kind enough to donate please leave a comment.

If you would like to sponsor me to help raise money for a worthy cause, and want to see my “bald” photos, -well, even if you don’t want to see my bald photos – you can donate on my profile page on the Leukemia Foundation website.

This post shows what I looked like last year, and the poem I wrote about the experience.

They changed the peanut butter
my life has now been ruined
there is no consolation
for tastebuds that were tuned
to just the perfect texture
of crunchy nuts in goo
so give me back my homebrand
’cause I don’t know what to do.

I’ve tried the other labels
they’re too sloppy or too dry
they don’t have that piquant flavour
it makes me want to cry
there is no taste sensation
for my white bread anymore
my consumer satisfaction
I would rate as very poor.

Oh bring me back my homebrand
it was cheap but tasted good
oh bring back my peanut butter
my main essential type of food
you can keep your big name brands
your oily smooth, and banal crunch
just give me back my homebrand
so I can enjoy my lunch.

Emotography – Week 5/2016

Negative

A Dark WishInverted FairyRiver Plant (2) inverted

Negative – it’s not always ugly!

Sometimes turning to the dark side is a beautiful thing.

So, next time I’m having those feelings, I shall look for the secret colours.
