When thoughts don’t think

I like it when my mind ticks over
in little verse and rhymes
it helps release frustrations
to think like that at times
but alas, it is not happening
the thoughts have up and fled
and foggy piles of nothingness
are filling up my head
perhaps some inspiration
will strike with lightening bolt
but I fear that thing called “writers block”
is basically the fault

    1. Thanks Margo – I had to work for it, but eventually it came out.

What do you do against writer’s block? Does chocolate help?
Sounds like you haven’t been completely struck down though! ๐Ÿ™‚ hopefully you’ll get off lightly…

    1. Hi Jesska, I usually ignore it ๐Ÿ™‚ I’m basically lazy and only write for my own enjoyment. However, I have found that sometimes if I just keep attempting the scribbling it breaks the dam and, especially if it is silly rhymes, things start to flow.
