Bones and Scars

the fierce missing shatters my bones
the gravity of grief unraveling
exposing my marrow
stripping off layers.
and I have to regrow again
the skin and sinew of “now”
that holds me together.

you cannot see my scars, the silver lines that cover me,
head to toe, heart to soul, completely wrapped.
an irredescent netting, marking the breaking and the healing,
the threads of a new outer that constrain the broken.

  3. Those words have the effect of lacerating the heart of the reader in some sort of vain attempt at empathising with your feelings. The pictures are stunning. And you are an incredible woman.

    1. Ah, sweet Osyth, you are such a lovely person. I did not intend for any other to feel pain upon reading these words, I just write what must get out of my heart. I send you virtual bandaids for your lacerations, and much affection for you empathy. YOU are an incredible woman. (If only the folks of the world could say that to people more often, perhaps we would be a happier place).

  5. It’s all been said already. You have a gift to convey in few words, so much so feelingly.
