I’d been feeling discombobulated,
by things within my house,
and so I had to move them round,
till I ran out of space.
I put them there,
and pushed them here,
I lifted and I shifted,
at a ferocious pace.
It didn’t matter what I did,
I couldn’t make them fit,
it jangled and it jarred me,
that I couldn’t find their place.
So I resorted to my usual,
I started chucking out,
the things that were annoying me,
which brought a smile to my face.
It’s not completely perfect,
but then, what really is?
but flow has been restored somewhat,
and I’ll accept that grace.

Oh I so need to do this! I did sort out my art corner in the lounge room. The books were overflowing everywhere so I did a massive reshuffle but no chucking out!

Sometimes things find their own place, but lately it has been harder than normal – I need to get rid of some furniture I think.

That’s really good! So glad you’re happier with how your house is. (I’m terrible at getting rid of things.. I am getting better about not getting new things tho :))

I like “chucking out” – well, donating it to the Op Shops actually – it is satisfying.

I am a happy chucker (to the charity shop). Your ditty made me smile. It captured the delight and satisfaction of sorting out.

Thanks Ali. I like to chuck when I know it might be going to someone who has a use/loves it more than I currently do. Glad it made you smile.

I understand this so well! We’ve only been here a year and I already feel that way! Time to chuck ๐

Love this and can completely relate, especially since clearing mumโs house and bringing more stuff into my home. Time for another de-clutter.
