I don’t tell everyone this, but some of my favourite things are ……
White Chocolate & Macadamia biscuits or White Tim Tams – possibly both, eaten at the same time.
Chai Latte first thing in the morning – bliss.
The colours Purple and deep, deep Emerald.
The sound of rain on the roof – but not in winter.
The smells of just-mown grass, gum leaves on a hot summer day, LemonGrass and Mandarin.
Tasmania, (the Huon Valley specifically), rivers, forest, beaches and mountains.
……. but don’t tell anyone …..
Hello!
Thank you for following my blog. I know how many interesting blogs are out there and feel honored that you picked mine to follow. I hope my stories entertain and inform and my photos bring you joy and wonderment.
I travel mostly local but try to always find interesting places. I have lived in several different places and dig through my archives of photos to bring glimpses into places I have been. Sometimes I post a recipe because food tells a lot about culture.
I am not a professional photographer, so my photos are sometimes a little fuzzy and there are telephone poles and wires and other things along with what I was photographing. The older photos are 35mm, the newer are point and shoot digital and a few are Samsung Smartphone.
I am new to blogging so if you have any advice or critique please drop me a comment.
Thank you again for following and to quote Mark Twain: “Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness.” – Mark Twain

Rain on the roof is fantastic, almost as good as rain on the sides of a tent.

Definitely a roof for me, not much of a camper – too much of that on family holidays when I was younger.

Agreed. Although it sounds good, I would not actually sleep in one.

This is great Claudette. I love purple too and the smell of freshly mown grass. I love my camping and rain on the roof … But on one thing we differ … I love love love my dark chocolate! 🙂

Ah Miriam, a kindred purple-loving-grass-sniffing-Aussie spirit. I must, however, respectfully disagree on the dark, dark chocolate, it is too bitter for me – I’m more of a gobbler than a connoisseur. 🙂

Haha That’s okay. Let’s agree to disagree. At least we don’t have to share! 🙂
