Why do I reach for something
just to have it slip away
causing pain
desert hearts
no life inside
waiting for the rain

      Thank you. Sometimes, long ago, I actually wrote good stuff. Looking back on some of it just made me hit the delete/revision button. I guess time does “mature” our words somewhat.

        Time matures everything – at least that’s the theory. However, I do think that it is essential to nurture the childish voice too …. that’s where the hope comes from 🙂
