Having a lot of nominations just means a lot of bloggers think of you. 😛 But yeah, people should also check if the blog has already been nominated and so those who haven’t been recognized yet will have their chance. 🙂

Yes, it has chain connotations. Once was nice, and I did it completely, after that the next 3 times I jsut answered the questions, now this two I’m just not going to do anything. No guilt, it is all a personal choice. Which is why i did the “Bare for Fred” post – a bit of a reaction to it all. 🙂

I’m with you, and also haven’t responded to the nominations I’ve received. It’s an honor to be nominated, and I’m grateful to those who nominated me. But I really don’t have time to do all the “Elevens.”
I’ve been working on a post explaining all that, but haven’t found the time to write it yet. Which just illustrates the problem! 😀

Actually, I think it’s really nice that someone else took the time to add my little ol’ blog to a list of folk for this blogging badge. It’s really thoughtful and I feel included. It’s a nice feeling.

What a wonderful way to put it! I wish I’d thought of stating it like that. I haven’t responded to any of my nominations, and was trying to find a nice way to say, “Thank you. I’m very honored, but I can’t do this.” Your phrase is perfect!
