I am like a snail retracting
into my shell as winter nears
my focus narrows to a single thought
home is where I wish to be
I make my own prison
and rant at the jailer

Yes! A chair by the fire, a book to read and a bowl of soup!

Nice poem Claudette. It’s definitely good to feel cozy at home on a cold winter day, but not just year. Even though the days are drawing in, enjoy these sunny autumn days 🙂

Today was lovely weather wise, I took a walk around the park when I got home.

I like this. I’m frequently snail like and love getting home. A successful day is climbing into my own warm bed in my own, preferably warm, home 🙂

Hi Phil, I am extremely snail-like, and more so the older I get. Home is the most comfy place for me – don’t know what I will do when my last chick flies the nest though (hopefully have a few more years before that happens).
