What is it like?

What is it like,
to live inside your heart,
with one way walls,
so you see out
but I can’t see in?

I’ve visited once or twice,
but I never saw
anything of you,
you were all packed away.

One day I will surprise you,
with your self all scattered round,
and find out who you really are.

I wrote this poem about 34 years ago, at the grand old age of 17.  I still like it today.

It’s lovely and 17 is such an emotional age. I think.

There is a lot of fresh wisdom in those early years. I like this poem.

I enjoyed this as well. And now I finally understand why I had that eerie sensation I was being followed when I was 18… 😉

I wish I could find my writings as a teenager but have no idea where they are. Perhaps one day I will discover them in my mother’s attic. I like the puzzling aspect of your 17 year old mind. 🙂

Hi Marje, I’m a bit of a keeper of some things. My words being one of them 🙂 I am quite surprised at some of the things I wrote back then. Hope you find your teenage words. Thanks for the compliment.
