The fire has retreated somewhat, sulking in the cooler weather of the last 2 weeks.
I have been back in my own home for the last 12 days.
My cast comes off my broken ankle on Monday (hopefully).
The cat is still missing, but I am hoping she has found a home she likes better.
Β My garden is abundant with self-seeded flowers and rampant weeds.
I have a gazillion cherry tomatoes – I don’t actually eat very many.
This has been an intersting start to 2019, but I’m grateful for all that I have.
Life isΒ GOOD.
Yes, there are so many things to be grateful for.

You have a lovely outlook on life. I’m glad to hear you’re doing well, thanks for the update. (Is that a black swan? Beautiful!)

Yes, black swan. Had 5 younglings wandering around late last year.

Very cool! Good thoughts for the cat and all the rest. Turn the tomatoes into salsa, buy some chips, a beverage of your choice and rewatch Infinity War. Cheers!

Hmmm, may just have to try that, thanks.

Thank you for reminding us Claudette what is really important in life. I really admire your stoicism with your cat, and I’m sure there are a thousand daily difficulties, but you are right, that a terrible situation can make us truly grateful for what we have. Sending love.

Good to read that you’re home and are looking forward to the next stage of recovery. So sorry about your cat, but as independent creatures, I share your view that she has settled somewhere. To be grateful of what we have is an important reminder. Wishing you well.

I am walking on my own feet now, slow hobble, but walking. It is very good π

Thrilled to hear that things have taken a better turn. Just in case, though, I’ll keep the hotline to the Universe open and active…

I hope you are well and your home survived the fires. Saw this and thought of our conversation some months ago

I am well Dick, Recovering from my broken ankle well – have been hobbling around without cast for last 2 weeks. Home is still here, fire is still there but tamed sufficiently to not be a bother – and hopefully the cooler weather will finish it off soon.
Hope you and yours are all well and happy.
