We admire the ripples in the water,
but perhaps we should
contemplate
the fate

of the
rock.

Now THAT, is a treasure of a thought and I am ashamed to say I have never taken the time to think of the rock. I will in future, both the actual and the metaphoric.

🙂 You understand where I’m coming from then 🙂 I like it when that happens without having to explicitly state it.
Thanks for your lovely compliment. I was hoping for a better photo, but it’s hard to drop stones and take pictures at the same time.

And how the rock gets gradually worn down by the constant ripples…ooh, look at me getting all deep. 😉

Ooh, that was deep Lily, but true, so all the nice things do wear a little of our skins off!

Lily stole my thunder – I was totally going for the erosion angle. Oh well. Lovely picture, just the same. 🙂

Thanks CJ. I wanted a more “ripply” photo, but had to settle for this little one as taking photos in one hand and dropping rock with the other is not the easiest thing to do.

I think it might be too deep for the rock too – it can’t climb out again 🙂

Yes, to be at the bottom, when it’s all happening at the top. Thanks for the compliment.
