Oh, Spring has sprung,
the sun does shine,
but I’m stuck inside,
and doing time.
I’ve got “the bug”,
in throat and head,
and backache’s forced me
out of bed.
I long to sit out in the sun,
looking at it’s not enough,
but I know that if I move,
I’ll stir up this hacking cough.
This too shall pass,
and it will be,
that soon you’ll spend,
some time with me!
Oh, Spring has sprung,
she shines so bright,
clear blue day skies,
crisp, sparkled nights.
Are those daffies out in your garden already?

Get well soon, Claudette. I hear there’s been a nasty flu bug doing the rounds in your part of the world during the winter. Better arrange my flu-jab.

Thanks Hugh. There has been/still is a nasty one, but I just had a side-edge of it (thank goodness).

My Sister’s partner had the flu bug twice over the winter and both times it knocked him out. Glad you’re beginning to feel better, Claudette. Enjoy the spring bulbs. We’re just planting ours.

Oh, your poor sister’s partner, how rotten. It was back to work today, and although I am much better, feeling pretty tired tonight, and my voice sounds very sketchy. I hope you’re planting lots of surprised for spring Hugh.

I am ok with the coughs mostly now, more head-cold (without the runny nose), weird sounding voice and tiredness.
