All in the name

I was his universe,
but now I’m old,
and youth shines in you,
will you love him more than I?
I named him after Merlin,
A Mothers choice, for wisdom,
so I ask you,
Are you trying to steal my Mer, maid?

Lovely way to twist the prompt around. I haven’t read a better piece up until now. This is beautiful!

yes, I loved that book, read it many, many, many years ago, though truth to tell I have forgotten most of it now, but it is my preferred “Arthurian” story.

I like to play with words, sometimes what I make is not recognisable, but this was fun.

As I get older I seem to have acquired a comma addiction, which has started to get a bit out of control. 🙂
