the life that is I has revolved,
50 annuals – when all years are told,
I hope that there’s more,
left in my time store,
’cause it doesn’t seem much,
when you’re on the cusp,
of the gathering run,
towards life’s setting sun,
and it seems fair to say,
that back in the day,
when I was younger,
life was much longer.

Happy Birthday Claudette. Now life begins. I can guarantee that and I’m three years ahead of you and it’s still beginning. 🙂

Phew, thanks for the reassurance Hugh, I’m hoping for fantastic things, but I’d settle for just happy.

Revolutions or not, just enjoy each day as you can and suddenly you will find that eighty revolutions have spun by and life is still interesting-but of course not as long as when one was eight!

🙂 If I am as fit as you at 80 I would be very happy.

Thank you Christine. I guess, really, that any age can be on the cusp, perhaps it is just our attitude that makes the difference. 🙂
