Standing … the test of time
I have stood true
through summers’ heat, and winters’ rain
I have served my purpose
and held against the strain
I am beauty in the quietest way
of weathered wood and rusted wire
I proved equal to my test of time
to what do you aspire?

I love the textures and colours of old wood and rust, it makes an interesting photo too. This week I’ve gone with “amused”. http://wp.me/s2N0qn-amused

Liking it, and the idea to do the alphabet. Looking forward to how that works.

Glad that you thought so. I am lucky that sometimes these things just flow, so when they do I like to keep up with them 🙂

Well you’re on top form, although I always enjoy reading your poems. You have a knack of writing just how I feel sometimes.

Love this, Claudette. Such texture in the photo and unassuming words. Definitely “beauty in the quietest way”.

I kind of like weathered wood (well, when it’s not on my house) :). Thanks for your kind words.
