Hugh’s Photo Challenge: Week 6 – Unused

17/11/201529/07/2016Claudette17 Comments

These Cup and Saucer Sets sit on my dresser – unused because the firing of the porcelain paint I put on them makes the rims feel dusty to me.

I keep them because I love the little rhymes I made more them, one day I may redo them on some other sets, hopefully with a better usability outcome.

Made a new shape for my mold collection, super happy. Just oiled this beautiful piece of #tasmanianmusk I got ages ago from @thewoodguystasmania This commission was requested on the last day of my exhibition last month. A lovely mainland couple came in to the gallery and saw a piece they liked, but it was already sold, so they asked if they could have one made with the same colour leaves. I actually collected these leaves from Salamanca, where my exhibition was being held, so that's another nice connection. Purple Hydrangea Heart Part of a small commission piece I am working on The other side got tidied up yesterday. May not look much different to the before pic in no. 5, but I have now got a larger level piece of safety glass on the bench, and a larger shelf above. Cleaned up the bookshelf too, so feeling happier. Only have the drawers to go now. Commission finished. Rearranged my storage on this half of my hobby room yesterday, much happier with it now, and the bench top is about another 10cm higher too. Top Coating.
